Hi there, I'm Jess!

Photographer. Story-teller. Sunset chaser.

Falling in love with photography back in 2014 was kind of an accident. I took my mom's Canon Rebel t3i out one day because a couple of friends wanted new photos for their social media. I had never even considered a career in photography, my mom just had a decent camera that I somewhat knew how to use, so I thought, "Why not?"

While I coached them from behind the camera and watched them become more comfortable and confident, I felt a little spark in my heart. And then, seeing their faces light up when they saw the photos I had taken...Well, there's really no other way to explain it. My soul caught fire, and my new hobby quickly became a passion. The photos from that carefree "session" ended up catching the attention of other friends and peers, and I was thrown into the photography world with no idea what I was doing. With the guidance of a few awesome photographers (including my younger sister, who introduced me to shooting in manual) and a few articles and YouTube videos, I was able to learn quickly, and I just continued to love it more and more as time went on.

Today, my number one goal is to achieve the same "Wow, that's me!" look from each of my client's that set that flame aglow in my heart almost seven years ago. Having the opportunity to create with people and bring joy to others through my work has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.

Photography has opened up so many doors for me and has helped me grow as an artist and as a person. I really don't know where I would be without it and I am so blessed that it has become such a big part of my life.
